With just about a month left in his freshman year of high school,. Thomas Dale running back, Chris Tyree has received his tenth scholarship  offer.
He announced saturday that he has received an offer from Temple University via twitter.
“Blessed to receive my tenth offer from Temple University #OOU”
The offer from the American Athletic Conference school in Philadelphia comes on the heels of several other big names in the past few weeks.
West Virginia, Florida State, Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Maryland have all made offers to Tyree since the start of April.
The 5-10, 170 pound playmaker has been able to attract schools so early in his career with his tremendous speed and cunning agility. Just recently at Nike’s ¨The Opening¨ in D.C. Tyree placed in the 99th percentile among his class in the 40 yard dash and agility, and also placed in the 96th percentile in vertical jump.
With this uber athleticism, Tyree was able to help out the Knights in numerous ways on the field. This past season he rushed for 716 yards and 7 touchdowns. He also recorded 25 tackles, 11 pass breakups, a fumble recovery, and interception on defense.
Not only that, Tyree broke the Thomas Dale all purpose yard record and collected over 1,000 all-purpose yards last season.
Such numbers earned Tyree 6a conference 3 all conference honors.
Tyree’s latest offer comes from coach Geoff Collins at Temple who was just hired this past december after spending the last two years as a defensive coordinator at Florida. Last season the Owls finished with a 10-4 record and defeated Navy to win the American Athletic Conference title. Afterwards, they were invited to play in the Military Bowl where they fell to another team Tyree holds an offer from, Wake Forest.
As Tyree has more and more opportunity to showcase his gifted athleticism, his recruiting stock should continue to rise as he enters his sophomore year.
